How does menstruation with the LUNACUP menstrual cup work?
How to use your menstrual cup - quick guide
Inserting your LUNACUP menstrual cup
1. BEFORE INSERTION:
Rinse your cup with water (so it slides in smoothly) and fold it. This makes it smaller and easy to insert.
2. INSERTING YOUR CUP:
Slide the folded cup to the entrance of your vagina. Your cup will unfold naturally and its rim will create a gentle seal against your vaginal walls, collecting menstrual fluid. The entire cup sits inside your vagina, including the stem (the soft tab at the bottom) that makes removal easy.
1. HOW OFTEN TO EMPTY:
Depending on your flow, you can wear your cup for 4 to 12 hours. It works perfectly day and night. Emptying every 8-10 hours is completely normal with your cup. Generally, LUNACUP lasts 2-3 times longer than a tampon for most women.

2. REMOVING YOUR CUP:
Gently pull the stem to bring your cup lower. Then pinch the base with one finger (this releases the seal) and slowly guide it out.
3. Reinserting your cup:
The menstrual fluid stays contained and empties into the toilet. Rinse your cup with water and reinsert.
After your period
When your cycle ends, first wash your cup with water, then sterilize it for a few minutes using steam in the microwave or by boiling in a small pot. Once completely clean and hygienic, store your cup in its pouch - ready for your next cycle.
