Cardiac-valve grade silicone
LUNACUP is made from KEG-2003H medical-grade silicone by ShinEtsu Japan — the same material used in cardiac valves and breast implants. It's certified for short-term implantation inside the body. You wear it for 8–12 hours max. The silicone handles far more than you'll ever ask of it.
Certifications beyond requirements
USP Class VI (US pharmaceutical standard) + ISO 10993 (EU medical device standard). Independently tested by the Czech National Institute of Public Health in 2014 and 2019. A menstrual cup doesn't need certifications this strict — LUNACUP has them anyway.
